College Baseball Rules

College baseball rules may change regularly, but once posted all colleges participating in the NCAA conferences are playing by the same rules. This enables you to compare team results and games because the rules are applied consistently. That is important in a sport for the sake of the players.

Most of the college baseball rules are identical to the Major League baseball rules. They are published by NCAA and conference schools are expected to adhere to the rules. The NCAA has a series of fines and punishments the association applies for rule violations.

Aluminum bats are lighter and faster than wood and can hit a quick ball. But there will always be those purists who would like the college baseball rules to return to historical baseball ground and require wood bats.
